Even if you think you don’t like ambient/electronica music, there’s still a great chance that you’ll love Ellie Herring’s new record Kite Day. It’s a beat-driven work that combines the best of ambient, electronica and dance tracks into one chilled-out work. If you’re into hypnotic songs that sound like warped, minimal R&B, check out “Don’t Fall.” If you want something more exciting, go for “10 Hours in Prague,” which sounds like a slowed down Diplo instrumental. For being such a cohesive record, it’s got a lot of variety within it.
