Record Store Day is coming on Saturday, April 22, 2023! This is the day when independent record stores around the country (and the world) will offer up a huge slate of special music releases that are available ONLY at independent record stores. Among them will be limited-edition vinyl from the Black Keys, The 1975, Dio, the Cure, Grateful Dead, Chet Baker, Post Malone, Jason Isbell & Amanda Shires, Pearl Jam, Stevie Nicks, Bluey, Wilco, Elvis, and lots more. Oh yeah, and Taylor Swift!
CD Central will open at 8 a.m. and if you’ve been here for recent Record Store Days, we will have the same procedures in place as before. We will have a special RSD sales counter set up where a member of the CD Central team will put your selections right into your hands. The line moves pretty quickly and if you jot down your picks on a paper, that will help move things along! Later in the morning, after everyone in line has been served, we will reconfigure the display so you can browse everything at your leisure.
Speaking of records, you can take a look at the official RSD release list at this link. We will have a majority of records on this list.
For those who are new to RSD:
1. Some things will run out, so try to get here early for best selection. The line usually starts a few hours before we open.
2. RSD national rules prevent us for doing holds, reserves, or advance sales of any kind. There is a limit of one copy of each title per customer.
3. We can take orders over the phone for pickup or mail delivery starting at 11 a.m. No earlier calls please, and we will not take orders for more than one copy of any item.
4. Selected remaining RSD records will be available at our online shop starting on Sunday morning
