CD Central is Lexington’s oldest and largest independent music store, specializing in rock, R&B, metal, country, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and musical alternatives of all kinds. In business since 1995, CD Central has an extensive selection of new, used and collectible LPs and carries turntables and accessories to help you get the most out of your vinyl collection. We also carry a good selection of new and used DVDs, posters, t-shirts, stereo equipment and much more.
CD Central is one of the founding members of the Alliance of Independent Media Stores (AIMS) as well as Lexington’s “buy local” organization, Local First Lexington. We were one of the participants in the very first Record Store Day and have thrown a party on RSD every year since. We’ve been honored to be able to host in-store concerts by nationally-known artists including the Black Keys, Charlie Louvin, Bernie Worrell, the Avett Brothers, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Chris Stapleton, Nine Pound Hammer, the Apples in Stereo, as well as countless great local and regional artists.

DIRECTIONS
CD Central is located next to the University of Kentucky in Lexington, on the campus business district at 377 South Limestone St.
From downtown Lexington, head south on South Upper Street until you reach Pine Street, then turn left and then a quick right onto Jersey Street which will take you to our parking lot (just past the McDonald’s lot). From the south side, simply take Nicholasville Road, which becomes South Limestone as you reach the UK area. CD Central is on the left just a few buildings past Avenue of Champions (Euclid Ave.), next to Sqecial Media. Look for the building with purple awnings!
